The Rudo Coated Denim Pant Draws Inspiration from the material experimentation and hybrid visual language of robert rauschenberg. like rauschenberg’s untitled 1951, the pant treats the garment as a living surface. the denim is coated in layered finishes echoing a willingness to obscure, reveal, and rework. irregular matte and semi-gloss areas mimic the spontaneous marks and tactile contradictions found in mixed-media canvases.

Each pair becomes a wearable “combine,” where structure and surface collide. the water-resistant coating is applied to an organic cotton denim base, forming a layered skin that resists permanence. as the pant is worn, the top layer peels and fractures, gradually revealing the underlying texture. each wearer shapes their own composition, ensuring that no two pairs age alike.
