Kira Leather Drape Blouson in Calfskin
Description
Calfskin
A 1970s flight jacket–inspired leather blouson constructed from premium calfskin skived to a thickness of 1 mm. The reduced thickness allows the leather to drape fluidly and breathe naturally, eliminating the rigidity typical of conventional leather outerwear. A post-tanning treatment further softens the leather through tumbling and conditioning, creating immediate suppleness without compromising its structural integrity.
The jacket is lined in mercerized organic cotton and insulated with natural hemp wadding developed in Seeboden, Austria. Hemp fiber provides thermal regulation without bulk: its hollow structure traps air for warmth while remaining lightweight and compressible.
The blouson features three-dimensional pocket construction engineered through panel articulation and strategic seam placement. The pockets are built outward from the body using curved pattern pieces rather than sewn-on additions, creating balloon-like volume that integrates seamlessly with the garment structure. This construction maintains pocket shape and capacity while allowing the blouson to move fluidly with the body. Two expandable Riri fasteners are placed on each sleeve, with an additional fastener on the chest pocket.
Model is 187cm/6.1 ft wearing size 46
